EOPYY provision €100 return
The procedure for the reimbursement of the EOPYY for eyeglasses has been significantly simplified, since it is now done either electronically, or at a KEP without additional visa procedures, etc.
A condition of the above for receiving the compensation is that the EOPYY insured person has completed four years since the last compensation for glasses. Indirect members (children) are entitled every 2 years to the return of €100 as long as they are up to 12 years old.
How will you receive compensation?
1. First, you should visit a certified ophthalmologist of the EOPYY* who, after examining you, will prescribe you the required glasses. For Heraklion, the contracted doctors are the following:

*All ophthalmologists can prescribe glasses for reimbursement with the difference that the insured pays the entire cost of the examination.
2. You then have one month to visit your optician and pay the cost of the glasses so that the receipt and certification you will need to submit the supporting documents can be cut. The submission of supporting documents does not have a specific time frame and can be done either electronically or at a KEP.
3. Instructions for submitting the supporting documents, see in detail HERE
